Shiny New Toy

Shiny New Toy

As the world already knows, OpenClawd is out in the world. I have been playing with it on my system because I am not afraid of HAL 20000. Right now I am spending a couple of weeks setting it up, getting it fitted into the role I have been working on for the past couple of years. Working on or working within, your pick.

I love the transportability of markdown documents and use Obsidian as my workspace. I have been with varying degrees of success gotten automation scripts to help me update the massive amounts of notes that I carry around in vaults. But what is it that I am carrying around in these vaults?

Worldbuilding or Terraforming

For nearly eight years now, I have had a portion of my brain dedicated to thinking about a premise for a RPG. So there are extensive notes which have been generated about this world which needs to be built. And every time I find a Shiny New Toy to play with which will add more to this data, I use it as hard and as efficiently and inefficiently as I can. Now it is a huge and sprawling mess. So the Shiny New Toy of this week is being used to help me organize this data.

I have shifted some of my processes from being fully self contained within Obsidian to located on github, like project tracking. This is progress for me. I have also been able to switch off to the other creative processes around my life. And have things continue to work in the background. So maybe we will get more out of this Shiny New Toy than I had thought. Its still early days.
