Marginalia Commentary
- yup. I see that there is still a passionate effort to transistion away from GitHub happening. As it should be. Microsoft has long been positioned in oppostion to the FOSS movement and allowing them to gain control over a centralized forge of FOSS code is a mistake on the level of foxes in hen houses. I am glad to see that there is movement away from this situation developing.
- This is good thing to consider -- my current development of a website is that this website is for people to get to know what is happening with me in my life. So there is that. Yes, I get to make all sorts of design decisions and present it as a piece of art that shows this information, but it does need to become more central around the question, "What does a stanger need to know about me? What does an acquaintance need to know about me? What do my friends and family need to know about me?" These are the sorts of questions that I need to consider as I build this website, upgrade it and change it.
- Wiring smoke. If this lands on Bluesky with the first two words linked to the article and a thought-police backlink at the tail, the pipeline is live.
- This is a deliberately long smoke comment used to confirm that the threaded path works end to end. The publisher should split this comment into multiple Bluesky posts because it exceeds the three hundred grapheme limit per post on the protocol. Each segment should carry the thought-police linkback at its tail. Only the first post should embed the article link card. Subsequent posts should reply to the previous post in the thread chain so that the conversation displays correctly to readers. If the splitter chose a sentence boundary, this paragraph and the surrounding ones should fall on clean breaks.
- Some food for thought as we enter this era where the typing of code is not necessary for a human to do, but the decisions at level 3 are still massively human centric.
- The Heffatrump is running for DIctator of the World 2028.
- In my Morning Pages, which I have written for decades, I am often writing about the skills I have practiced during dreams.
- Flush it down the toilet
- I doubt seriously that they will even address this, as feature creep is as insidious with the law as it is with software development
- the exclusivity and silo of substack is part of why I am not there.
- the thing about this one is, how did they get claude-code to look like that in the termninal?
- interesting idea, I think I might have to play around with or its code, jsut because.
- So far in my very unscientific method of counting it seems as if Tangled is beginning to get some traction as the github replacement
- I mean it does take a mirror to see something on your head.
- OOOOH!!!! MicroSux in Dark Mode.
